M.S. Project: Effects of Prescribed Burning and Herbicide Application on the
Abundance and Diversity of Selected Invertebrate Communities in Pine Plantations in Mississippi

Hometown: Wilmington, DE

M.S. Interests
: I am currently investigating the above project entailing both invertebrate abundance (biomass included) and diversity (Carabidae:Coleoptera diversity). My main interest is to combine the disciplines of my background (Wildlife and Entomology) to benefit scientific advances in these fields. I also intend to gain experience in multiple areas of wildlife and entomology research to increase my knowledge of the subjects.

Fun Interests: I am a musician (Piano/Drums/Guitar/Didgeridoo), nature photographer, avid fly-fisherman, outdoorsman, and connoisseur of fun times. I have traveled to over 14 foreign countries including Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, Peru, Uganda, Tanzania, 9 countries in Europe, and Belize. My future holds a plethora of possibilities from working in academia to running my own business. In the meantime, my focus lies in my research, completing my graduate studies, and finding my niche.
